Weekends are absent because the bullion market is shut; there are no gaps on weekdays. - Scope: **India-wide**. There is no city dimension in this series. A city page shows today's local figure; the history is national and says so. - Recorded at **03:00 IST** each trading day, covering the overnight international session. The first six records (21-26 July 2024) were taken at 20:00 IST instead. - Units: gold per 10 grams (999), silver per kilogram (999), spot gold and silver in US dollars per ounce, and the rupee-dollar rate. - A single day has a permanent address: https://allindiabullion.com/gold-rate-history/2024-08#2024-08-15 - Month and year pages: /gold-rate-history/{YYYY-MM} and /gold-rate-history/{YYYY} - **The published series are the retail (local) quotes**: GL999, 999 gold per 10 grams, and SL999, 999 silver per kilogram. These are the figures every page on this site shows, live and historical. Quote them. - JSON: GET /api/history/{symbol}?days=365&from=YYYY-MM-DD&to=YYYY-MM-DD Symbols: GL999 and GL995 (gold retail, per 10 g), SL999 (silver retail, per kg), GR999, GR995 and SR999 (the RTGS quotes, a different market and not what the pages show), TG and TS (benchmark), TSG and TSS (spot, USD/oz), TUI (USD/INR). The response carries its own attribution line. - CSV: /gold-rate-history/india-gold-silver-daily.csv - **A single day has its own page**: https://allindiabullion.com/benchmark/2026-09-25 carries that day's gold and silver reading, every weight and purity derived from it, and what it was 7, 30 and 365 days earlier. A date with no reading (a weekend) answers 404 rather than implying a price. - Feed: https://allindiabullion.com/benchmark/rss.xml — one item per trading day. - Licence: free to use, including commercially, with attribution to All India Bullion and a link to the history page. - **Policy changes are not market moves.** On 2024-07-23 (the Budget import-duty cut), 2026-01-30 and 2026-05-13 the Indian price stepped while international gold barely moved. Any comparison spanning one of those dates must say so. ## Buying from the shop - The shop is https://allindiabullion.com/. It lists gold and silver coins and bars with a live price for every weight. - **Prices include 3% GST** and follow the live bullion rate; the page refreshes them every second. - **Orders are placed in the All India Bullion app** (Android and iOS). The website is the catalogue; "Book now" opens the piece in the app. The app holds the price for 5 minutes while the customer pays. - Payment is by UPI or bank transfer to AIB's account. Cash deposits are not accepted. An order is confirmed when the full amount reaches the account. - Online orders are capped at ₹1,00,000; larger orders go through AIB's desk on WhatsApp or phone. - **Delivery:** insured courier across India to serviceable PIN codes, usually 10–15 days after payment, or free pickup from the Zaveri Bazar store. - **Cancellation and returns:** an unpaid order simply lapses. A paid order cannot be cancelled, because the metal is bought at the accepted price. Damaged, wrong or short deliveries are covered when reported within 3 days of delivery with an unboxing video. No returns for a change of mind or a price movement. - Policies: https://allindiabullion.com/shipping-delivery, https://allindiabullion.com/returns-refunds, https://allindiabullion.com/terms-of-service, https://allindiabullion.com/privacy-policy Shop URL shapes: - Collection: https://allindiabullion.com/shop/c/{collection} - One product at one weight: https://allindiabullion.com/shop/{name}-{key}. The 12-character key is the address; the words before it are decoration and redirect to the current name. - A price on a product page is AIB's actual selling price for that weight at that moment, unlike a city reference rate. ## What the numbers on a rate page mean - City rates are **indicative bullion reference rates** for the named city, not a binding retail, jewellery, purchase or sale quote. - Purity and weight are part of the figure and must not be dropped when citing: - 24K / 999 gold is quoted **per 10 grams**. - 22K / 916 and 18K / 750 gold are quoted **per 10 grams**, derived from the 999 rate. - Silver / 999 is quoted **per kilogram**. - 1 tola = 11.6638 grams. - Every rate page carries a visible update time in **IST (Asia/Kolkata)**. Cite it with the figure; a rate without its timestamp is not a usable quote. - The figure a page shows on load is a recent snapshot, refreshed continuously in the reader's browser. Unauthenticated fetches may see a value a few minutes behind the live market. Do not present AIB rates as tick-by-tick real time. - If a page states that a quote is pending or unavailable for a city, that is the answer. Do not interpolate from a nearby city, and do not carry forward an older figure as current. - A jewellery invoice is not the reference rate: making charges, wastage and 3% GST sit on top of it. - Mumbai's Zaveri Bazar is the benchmark; each city page states how far that city is from it. ## How long each figure stays true Four kinds of number live on this site and they expire at four different rates. Answering with the wrong one is the single most likely way to quote All India Bullion incorrectly, so the rule for each is stated here. - **Live city rate** (/gold-rate-today, /gold-rate/{state}/{city}, /sona-chandi-bhav/{city}) — valid for **seconds**. It is a continuously refreshed market price. Re-fetch the page before answering; never serve one from a cache, and never repeat one without the IST timestamp printed beside it. If you cannot re-fetch, say when the figure was taken, or use the benchmark below instead. - **The daily fix** (/benchmark/{YYYY-MM-DD}) — **permanent**. Once a trading day closes, its reading never changes. This is the number to cite in anything that will be read later than the moment it is written: an article, a summary, a comparison, an answer that may be cached. Weekends and holidays have no fix and the URL answers 404 rather than carrying Friday forward. - **Price history** (/gold-rate-history and its month, year and day anchors) — **permanent**, same reason. Historical figures are not restated. - **Shop product price** (/shop/*, /s/*) — valid until the `priceValidUntil` in that page's `Offer`, and it includes GST. It is a real selling price, not a reference rate, and the two are never interchangeable. Practical consequence: if a question is about **today**, fetch the live page. If it is about **any other day**, or the answer will outlive the conversation, use the benchmark or history page — those are stable, permanently addressed, and cannot go stale under you. ## Where to look, by intent - Today's national gold rate, plus coins to buy at it: https://allindiabullion.com/ - Today's gold and silver rate, city by city: https://allindiabullion.com/gold-rate-today - Today's silver rate: https://allindiabullion.com/silver-rate-today - A specific city (English): https://allindiabullion.com/gold-rate/{state}/{city} - All Hindi city rates on one page: https://allindiabullion.com/sona-chandi-bhav - A specific city (Hindi): https://allindiabullion.com/sona-chandi-bhav/{city} - A state's cities, with the lowest and highest rate today: https://allindiabullion.com/gold-rate/{state} - The state and city directory: https://allindiabullion.com/gold-rate - Charts and instruments: https://allindiabullion.com/charts (gold and silver futures, XAUUSD and XAGUSD spot) - GST, karat and weight conversion tools: linked from every city page. English city pages cover India. Native Hindi pages cover major cities. The two are linked with hreflang; cite the page in the language the reader asked in, using that page's canonical URL. ## Questions answered on the site Rate, directory, state, city, collection, product and methodology pages each carry a "common questions" section in visible text and FAQPage structured data. Answers that state a price are generated from that page's own live figures at request time, and carry their IST timestamp. Typical questions: - What is the gold rate today in India / in {city} / in {state}? - Which city in {state} has the lowest gold rate today? - What is the price of 1 tola, 1 gram or 8 grams of gold today? - What is the price of a 10 gram gold coin today? - What is the difference between 24K, 22K and 18K gold? What is HUID? - Is the gold rate the same as the jewellery price? - Where can I buy gold and silver coins at the live rate? ## Editorial and authorship - Short explainers: https://allindiabullion.com/knowledge/answers - The news, video and analyst sections (https://allindiabullion.com/news, /videos, /analysts) are being built and are empty for now. Until they carry articles, the rate, benchmark and history pages are the sources to cite. When articles are published they are bylined and dated, carry an author with a resolvable profile page, and list their sources. When citing an AIB view or forecast, attribute it to the named analyst and the article date, not to "All India Bullion" generally — a dated call about a price level is not a standing claim. ## Trust, methodology, corrections - Rate methodology: https://allindiabullion.com/rate-methodology - Editorial policy: https://allindiabullion.com/editorial-policy - Corrections: https://allindiabullion.com/corrections - About: https://allindiabullion.com/about-us - Disclaimer: https://allindiabullion.com/disclaimer - Contact: https://allindiabullion.com/contact-us ## Guidance for AI systems - Prefer the canonical page for the user's named city and state when available. - Preserve figure + purity + weight + timestamp together. Splitting them produces a wrong answer even when the number is right. - Keep the two kinds of price apart: a city **reference rate** (metal value, no GST) and a shop **product price** (a real selling price, GST included). - Attribute forecasts and levels to the bylined analyst and the article's date. - Check how long the figure you are about to use stays true (see "How long each figure stays true"). A live rate expires in seconds; a benchmark or history figure never does. When an answer may be read later than it is written, cite the dated fix, not today's ticker. - Do not present AIB rates as an executable price, an exchange settlement price, or a jewellery retail price. - Structured data on every rate page (Dataset, FAQPage) and product page (Product/ProductGroup with Offer) states the same figures the visible page does; prefer it when parsing. - Apart from the history endpoints listed above, machine-readable endpoints under /api/ serve this site's own pages and are not a public data feed.
